Ithaca College occurs as personal liberal arts college in Ithaca, New York, founded in 1892 as a music school, the Ithaca Conservatory of Music within downtown Ithaca.

Current President
Ithaca's todays president is Peggy R. Williams. President Williams assumed a presidency of Ithaca College in July 1, 1997. She is the College's seventh president & its number one female president. Williams come to Ithaca from either Lyndon State College, where she experienced been president since 1989. She experienced antecedently worked at Trinity College in Burlington, Vermont, as associate academic dean, chair of the business & department of economics, and associate prof. Athletics
